Ralph Childs (Bass Guitar)
"I too went to the Eastman School of Music
(where I met Tony, who was 2 years ahead of me). I was a Tuba major, and was
awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to the Royal Conservatory of Music in
Manchester, UK. It was during Vietnam, so I wound up as the Tuba soloist in the
West Point Army Band (also with Tony, by the way). After that I worked for Hal
Prince for a Broadway show, and eventually followed my friend Tony to Nashville,
where I've had a long and interesting career playing for just about everybody in
town (Dolly Parton, George Strait, Johnny Cash, Willie, Waylon and the boys,
etc.). I used to play all the CMA awards shows and other TV Specials in the 70's
& 80's. I met Don in 1986 playing on two albums for him."
Pat Severs (Electric Guitar)
Regular member of Don's band and has worked with a range of Nashville recording
artists including Billy Dean, Greta Lee and David Grey.
Kerry Marx (Electric Guitar)

Christine R - 3/31/2008 7:49:19 PMRalph - Hello from SD! I took your advice and looked you up. I've navigated the site and now realize who I sat next to! :) We sat next to each other on the way home from Sydney to LAX. Thanks for making the cramped flight tolerable!
