Vincent It is quite a nice song that I tried 3 months to learn it. My guitar with capo on the 1st fret sounds good. hah My email address:sunie2001@hotmail.com I am a Chinese, willing to make friends oversea who likes Mclean Steven Sun 9151
American Pie I'm 18 and this my first attempt at a real recording. This is my rendition of American Pie. It's a rather over the top rendition and I go as high as Michael Jakson at some points. This is a very unique rendition and I hope everyone enjoys it! Chris Nosal 12828
If We Try I play it for thirty years already and it's so beautiful and so hard to get it really good. But if I try - and keep trying... Hope you like it. Matthieu van Winsen 4839
Winter Has Me In Its Grip Fine song, nice guitarchords and beautiful melody. But again, not easy to perform! Hope you still like my effort. (No I'm not from Spain, I'm from Holland) Matthieu van Winsen 3271
Castles in the Air I'm probably the only non-guitarist in here so it was a real challenge to come up with a decent version of this song. I used Cubase SX3 and Virtual Guitarist to record this most beautiful song. I hope you all like my interpretation. Thanks. Dan Ceekey 5738
Bronco Bill's Lament I always used to like this song. Tom 4293
Vincent I really love the song, that's y I recorded it. Hope u'll like it, too. Debadeep 10470
Georgie's Song This is obviously not a Don McLean song, it's mine! Uploaded with permission and some pressure! Written for my daughter, Georgina, every father should be able to identify with this.......I hope. Pete Abbott 7326
And I Love You So Don makes it sound easy, but I found this song really hard to sing! Where's everyone gone? Have you all jumped ship and not told me? Is it me?? Hello?? Pete Abbott 11201

I'm trying to find a recording of the song The Touch of Your Hand. I had a copy of it on a cassette of Homeless Brother. There appears to be no trace of it -or is it under a different title?

Denis Mcinnes - 1/21/2008 7:23:59 PM
Hi Iam trying to find a song that Don Mclean sung back in he 60's The song is from the opera of Madame Butterfly "Spira Sul Mare E Sula Terra' Butterfly chorus thanks

Joel Trejo - 12/19/2007 10:09:39 AM
Charlie Ray Fetti II's capella version of "American Pie" should not be sung at all by him. This guy just tears apart the entire song. I am able abe to sing it better than him while in the shower.(give me a break!!)

dick zoeteweij - 12/16/2007 3:40:02 PM
Did you ever played on Gibson J-50 on your tour in Holland long ago ??

Does anyone know the title of the song that starts with the lyrics "i wonder if she knows....Mr. Mclean played it in New York City @the Town Hall a few weeks ago and am desperately trying to find the title of this song. Is there a playlist of everything he sang in NYC? Thank you so much.

Drew - 11/5/2007 8:32:15 PM
I was just starting to play at the time American Pie came out. It was also around the time Jonthan Edwars Shinesun was released. Even though it would have been exceedingly easier to learn Sunshine ,I chose to tackle AP instead. It was the 1st real full song I commited to memory and still know and play it to this day. From there I've learned many other songs (including Sunshine) and credit AP for leading me to play in coffee houses and bands most of my life. Thanks Don

michael - 10/24/2007 1:57:39 PM

I am trying to get the lyrics for Can't Blame the Train for my 85 year old father in law and I cannot get them on this site...HELP!

karen - 10/8/2007 7:29:28 PM
To Dori Why don't you just click on the menu at left for the lyrics!!!!! -karen-

karen - 10/8/2007 7:28:23 PM
How can I seek permission to use the lyrics and the recording of Starry, Starry Night for educational purposes? Also to Dori, google lyrics for vincent but be sure you have permission to download before you use anyrthing. You should not benefit from Don McLean's great creativity without permission. -karen-

dori - 10/5/2007 4:47:25 AM
Where can I get the lyrics to Starry, starry night? Thanks.

Eric - 10/3/2007 9:35:32 AM
