What an enormous amount of admiration I hold for this talent. Like millions of others, I have enjoyed the music of Don McLean through each album. Favourties, depends on the mood or the time. Bit of a buzz attending a live performance. Actually it was bloody beaut. Thank you for the sharing of the talent.

"Vincent" is such a wonderful tribute to van Gogh.
I'd only change one wee lyric and that would be "...this world was never ment..." to '...this world was never fit."
Stay on groovin' safari,

Thanks so much for staying late at the Spencer Theater to sign autographs. I was the gal that told you I had seen you at Texas A & M in 1972. What I didn't tell you was that I took my two young daughters to that concert at College Station. They are now 46 and 44. I called them from the Spencer when you sang American Pie just so they could hear what they were missing !!! Your music spans generations and will be around long after you and I are gone. Thanks so much for sharing your talent and sharing your heart.

Hi, I was wondering if there was anyway to actually email Mr.McLean personally to ask a question on a professional level and get a response?

I have always been a music fan who didn't care who the artist was just whether or not I liked the song, but as I listen to your long list of songs from my youth I realize you created much of the musical backdrop to many great memories. I am about to go to my 30 year high school reunion and so it is a time when I reflect back on those happy times. I want to take this time to say Thank You! and Congratulations on a creating such a wonderful list of music that has spanned the decades. My own children are now fans of many of these songs.

Yesterday it was Hillary's comment on RFK. I went in my mind to your song: American Pie. Today, I discover your site and that you will be in Alto, NM..not far from where I live. I wish so very much that I could be there. Perhaps I can. I listened to 'Vincent' and cried. My daughter, aged 42, is bipolar and maybe more. I guess I didn't know I had feelings until I listened, once again, to your songs.
You are great! Simply awesome. Thank you for sharing your gifts.
Sincerely, Connie

Saw your show tonight at L.L. Bean. My husband and I spent a long day planting our garden. What a way to end the day. Thank you from a soon to be retired public school music teacher.
